Quite simply, the best Backgammon program available for the iPhone and iPad. If you are serious about improving your play, the AI engine is suitable for beginners as well as experts. To those who say that this program cheats, I ask if you would like to play for money sometime. The new in app purchases are great! Highly recommended.

Just observed six 1 player rolls of 6-4 6-4 6-4 6-4 then 5-3 and 5-3. In which time computer blocked entry. Plus, noticed the concentration of doubles in the roles for the computer that corresponds to the near end of the game. Managed to still win most of the time, but clearly not as advertised.

Although this is one of the easiest versions to navigate in the expert and hard levels the computer gets the exact rolls it needs to win while the player rarely does despite high level strategic plays. Very disappointed!

Hard to believe that the computer does not take into account the 100 dice rolls in calculating its next move. Played hundreds of games and the computer will double even though it is down by dozens of pips.

Played a few hundred games on this app. Never seen so many Hammond avoided by double 5s and 6s. I think the author confused "AI" with "lots of good rolls"

I thought since this app was paid and had so many great reviews it would at least use some aspect of Machine Learning to make the computer more difficult. But no, it rigs the dice to make the computer more difficult. I was fed up with just feeling like it was rigged, and since Im an unemployed statistician with too much time on my hands, I decided to do an analysis on rolls. Without a doubt, the expert mode computer has an insanely large number of "favorable" rolls while I receive an abnormally large number of "unfavorable" rolls. Also, one of the main reasons I purchased this app was so I could play my boyfriend. However, "play a friend" mode does not work properly and keeps telling either of us that the other has forfeited the game (although neither of us have). So really this app isnt any better than the rest of the backgammon options out there.

Im 700+ matches into this app, and between this game, cribbage and a risk-ripoff game, its all I ever play anymore. Youll be happily challenged, youll win some and lose some, and youll be back for more. (I average 50 W/L almost to the number.)

Patience pays off. After playing this game for years it was finally updated to include game analysis. It shows a list of all the moves in a game and the error level. Customer support has been great. The game interface has improved a lot in the years since I first got this. I love the analysis list. I do have a request? Can you add a 2 ply mode? I think phones are fast enough now. I have been playing another 2 ply game and I like this interface much better. Dont let the players who are still learning to play and accuse the game of cheating keep you from improving the AI.
